Fall: Updating OfficersUpdating Officers with Little League International Little League International is now preparing to send Charter Applications for 2009 to local Little Leagues. A critical step in the process is for each local Little League to update the list of officers with Little League International. Once the local Little League elections are completed and the new board of directors elects the officers, it is important for the president or the secretary to notify Little League International of all the newly elected officers. Little League International will use this list of contacts in the local league to provide important information and updates throughout the season. These updates include policy changes, rules and regulation updates, and reminders about the league’s charter status. A form was mailed to the local league in early September to provide these updates. An alternative, for those with access to the data center, is to click here (http://datacenter.activeteamsports.com/llb/index.jsp) to update the officers. Remember, if the league normally uses a Post Office box (recommended), it must supply headquarters with a physical address as well, so packages can be shipped. More information on this subject is included in the free publication, “A Year in the Life of Hometown Little League,” available here: www.littleleague.org/Assets/forms_pubs/asap/Hometown_publication_08.pdf.
